DELSOL TO CREATE NEW JOBS WITH £1M INVESTMENT IN DEPOTS.
The company was founded by co-directors Simon Walker and Tony Parry in 1999 and operates a fleet of more than 70 vehicles
Cheshire and North Wales transport firm Delivery Solutions (Delsol) is aiming to “supercharge” its capacity and ability to grow over the next five years with a £1m investment in its two depots in Deeside and Caernarfon.
Delsol is a pallet and parcel specialist operating same day, overnight and international delivery and collection services.
The company was founded by co-directors Simon Walker and Tony Parry in 1999 and operates a fleet of more than 70 vehicles.
Mr Parry said the investment includes a new loan from Barclays and a cash injection from the company itself.
“We are immensely excited by this expansion and very grateful to Barclays which has supported us since we set up believing in us and our vision,” he said.
“We are using the cash to buy 25,000 sq ft of land and buildings neighbouring our depot at Glendale Business Park in Deeside.
“The new land will double our site to 50,000 sq ft. The new buildings will be used to give us greater capacity for pallet and parcel storage.
“This is to cater to the rapidly increasing volumes we are processing and expect to process over the next five years.
“In addition we intend to build new warehousing facilities on the new land again for storage purposes. The investment will enable both our depots to handle more consignments, delivering an even better service for our customers.”
Mr Parry said he fully expects the latest investment to create new jobs in 2014 in both office based and driver roles.
